Diabetes Costs the U.S. More Than Wars and Disasters

YOU have the exercise and avoid sugar!

See a Naturopath, not a M.D. !

A study has shown that the diabetes epidemic in the U.S. costs $174 billion a year. That's about as much as the conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and the global war on terrorism combined, and is more than the $150 billion in damage caused by Hurricane Katrina.

There are now 1 million new cases of diabetes a year as more Americans become overweight or obese. The cost of diabetes has increased by 32 percent since 2002.

Diabetes killed more than 284,000 Americans in 2007.
